The Arts Administrator Track offered orchestra administrators a “behind-the-scenes” look at the unique Academy Week program with insights into the program’s history, funding and logistical strategies, as well as integration of both the amateur and professional musician mindsets. In addition to attending informational seminars every day, administrator participants had the opportunity to observe all Academy classes, lectures and rehearsals. Instrumental administrator participants could also elect to take private lessons, play in the BSO Academy Side by Side Orchestra, play chamber music and/or play in the Academy Chamber Orchestra for an extra fee (contingent on space availability).
