Show-stopping hip-hop dancers join the BSO for this fun-filled holiday concert. Riffing off of Duke Ellington's reimagining of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, jazz composer Paul Murtha has created a Swingin' Nutcracker that the whole family will love!

Prior to the concert, join us in the lobby starting at 9:45 am for a range of exciting, interactive and educational activities including face painting, crafts and more! Join us immediately following the family concert for a buffet lunch in the Meyerhoff lobby. Experience Handel’s great masterwork, including the iconic "Hallelujah" Chorus. A recording of this perennial BSO favorite is released this season on Naxos featuring conductor Edward Polochick and many of the soloists on this performance.
