Baltimore Symphony Presents Hamilton Star Leslie Odom, Jr. and Movie with Orchestra: Ghostbusters (1984)
Baltimore (October 21, 2019) The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) presents Leslie Odom, Jr. in concert with the BSO on Friday, November 1, 2019 and Movie with Orchestra: Ghostbusters (1984) on November 2 and 3 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.
Conducted by Associate Conductor Nicholas Hersh, the one-night-only special Leslie Odom, Jr. with the BSO features all of Odom Jr.’s favorite Broadway hits. After his performances as Aaron Burr in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton on Broadway, Odom, Jr. was awarded the 2016 Tony Award for Lead Actor in a Musical and a Grammy Award as a principal soloist on Hamilton’s Original Broadway Cast Recording. A performer at the 2018 Super Bowl, Odom, Jr. joins the BSO ahead of his new album release this November, Mr.
The BSO opens the 2019-20 Movie with Orchestra series with the much-loved original version of Ghostbusters. Conducted by John Jesensky, the Orchestra will perform the entire score live as the movie is projected on a giant screen above the orchestra. Members of the Charm City Ghosbusters will be on hand to greet patrons. A two-time Oscar and two-time Golden Globe-nominated film, Ghostbusters follows the adventures of the paranormal-investigating team and includes the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping theme song.
