Aidan Alcocer
Aidan Alcocer joined the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s horn section in 2024, shortly after graduating from Northwestern University, Bienen School of Music (MM ’24) under the guidance of Gail Williams and Jon Boen. At Northwestern, Aidan was the Graduate Assistant for the horn studio and also enjoyed teaching a small private studio. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan with teachers Adam Unsworth and Bryan Kennedy. While in Michigan he performed in the Lansing, Toledo, and Ann Arbor Symphonies. A Native of San Antonio, Texas, his early teachers include Adedeji Ogunfolu and Jeff Garza. As the winner of the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio Concerto competition, Aidan was featured as concerto soloist with the San Antonio Symphony. In previous summers he has attended the National Youth Orchestra-USA as well as the Chautauqua Institute as a fellow. In his free time Aidan loves reading, playing disc golf, and getting out on his bike.
