The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra welcomes the Year of the Dragon with its second annual Lunar New Year performance. Patrons are encouraged to wear traditional celebratory attire to the concert.
The BSO’s AAPI Festival is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Join us when the hall opens at 5 pm for lobby performances, delicious fare for purchase from Peter Chang Baltimore, Ekiben and Eli Mochi, photo opportunities and paper lantern decorating, all to celebrate the Year of the Dragon! Cultural Performers include Gina Ling Chinese Dance Chamber, Korean Culture & Art of MD, Hee Kyung Lee Traditional Dance Troupe and Ellicott Taichi Health Club, led by Xiaopeng (Steve) Hu.
POST CONCERTJoin us for a post-concert performance of traditional and popular pieces by a string ensemble composed of students from the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra, Maryland Classical Youth Orchestra, Howard County Youth Orchestra, Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra and Peabody Preparatory.

A transformative exploration of life, death, legacy, struggle, and triumph, this concert program fuses the classic music of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur with Mahler’s “Resurrection” symphony.
